Shenzhen international chess tournament had already passed FIVE years, as a public event, this public event got wide support from all social circles, the first is Shenzhen expats chess open contest, held in Shekou garden city in 2010, after the contest, Master Liu Shilan challenged all the contestants.There are many Chinese people to join the second chess contest, who play games with Shenzhen expatriates, strengthens the Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges.The third game was held in Shekou sea world, under the cruise ship, with pleasant scenery, plus the participation of Chinese and foreign children's group, let the contest became more meaningful. The 4th is supported by many previous contestants, more and more participants with larger scale.The tournament utilized six rounds of the Swiss System of play. The 5th was held on October 15, 2016 at Center City Park in Shenzhen’s Book City. The free tournament attracted more than 100 players, including some of the best chess players in the city.
1. The tournament will operate in 6 rounds according to the Swiss System (non-knockout and 6 games for all players). Each round consists of 60 minutes with 30 minutes allotted to each contestant. Players exceeding 30 minutes lose automatically.
3.Contestants arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to participate.
4. Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in both divisions.
