Event Description

Sick of complaining about the lack of any indie/rock music in Shenzhen other than cover bands? We decided to do something about it and host Shenzhen's first indie night with Luna Bar. We'll have the Smiths, Bloc Party, Oasis, the Killers, Blur, We are Scientists, CSS, Strokes, Klaxons etc. plus all of your indie favs & great drinks offers. Come on, you know you want to ;-)

We want to make the Miao Miao Night into a bi-weekly or monthly event, so having more people like yourself willing to DJ and contribute is all the better, as aside from Luna it's non-for-proft from our perspective, we just love rockin' out!

Laurent is the man organising the tunes etc. before the night so speak to him about slots etc. as he might want a sit down at some point anyway!

Comment by Freakboy on July 25, 2011 at 2:15pm: @ Gareth, Ok man I understand that because it is Indie nobody know anything about it, So take a look at most Canadian bands like JALE, Cub, SLoan, Erics Trip, Hardship post, they are all muti sellers that have never signed to major lables, You even have a whole label that produces nothing but indie and twee SUBPOP you have heard of them they produced Nirvana before the major label killed Kurt. Iron and wine is one of the most prolific indie artists alive today. The list you have is what we call brit pop in North America, but right inside the UK there are many indie greats, 2door cinema club & General Fiasco are from the UK & The Temper Tramp to add to that list the earlier sets from Muse, Florence and the Machine, White Lies. Oh hell just let me come and do the music for you then you will get it right.
