Topway - no English ATV/Pearl since Saturday morning?
We have no English ATV or Pearl anymore since saturday morning. Friday we could still watch the HK news on channel 24/25, but ever since saturday we only get advertisements (24 hours per day). At first we didn't think much of it, but now it is starting to get annoying.
Does anyone else have the same problem currently? We can still see the TV schedule and we checked many times, but it's just non-stop commercials...

watching Peral right now and it is english at 6:30 sunday night. they always cut away from Letterman on World to stupid comercial shit from China. Best thing to do is get an English package from TopWay-it is not too bad if you pay for a whole year-about 1680 rmb

you should watch it like 3 am-they play the same 30 min cooking show or travel show over and over again-what do they think that nobody will notice?

We still get them but Topway did reorder the channels so have you checked if ATV and Pearl have moved to a much higher number channel?
Also while on the topic, if anyone from Topway reads this, please, please could they stop replaying old Hong Kong government advertisements? The actor playing the man who sells the camera is now much, much olderin real life. The woman finding the mosquitoes must now be a grandmother and please, please stop replaying the lady who gets the "fresh and comfortable feeling" three times running sometimes...Anything, even just a screen pattern would be better but
Chinese ads would be OK. Why does Topway torture viewers?

as far as i can tell everything is still in the same place. the PSA are ok but yes they should update them and not show them so many times.

Funny that I recognize exactly what you mention about mosquitoes and camera. What do you think about the same repeat of Topgear on 25 every morning? That is also getting quite old. This morning they added a new effect though; the bringtness was turned WAY up. I believe it should be some American news at that time.
I wonder what Topway will reply when you ask why you don't get news in the morning, but instead a lake. I'm thinking about calling them and asking.

It's that time of the week again..... I just watched 20 minutes commercials (non-stop) to verify it. But around 15:00 you can definately not watch ATV or Pearl English channels. I'm starting to think this is related to the Olympics, because we never had this before in all the time I lived in Shenzhen.
Tomorrow I'll ask my gf to complain to Topway again. This sucks.

Last week we called, they said 'they would look into it and call us back' - of course nothing happened (we didn't expect it either).
Buying extra channels is too expensive for us. I'm working on a Chinese wage here and we like to do other things besides watching TV. If ATV+Pearl work, it's good enough for me. We pay for it, so they should deliver.

you can get 7 or 8 more english channels for 120 more a month-not too bad but than again you 24 dvd's for that
