Hi ladies and gentlemen,

I want to call my friends overseas...any good ideas? except online chatting tools like QQ, MSN or Skype...

How do you usually call your parents or friends overseas?

Where do you buy those cards?Have you found any cheap cards? How much does it cost to call like Mexico?

Thank you very much~ Have a nice day!

haha...I was thinking you are from Mexico...
which??
I use the 12593 prefix, as mentioned in previous posts, I make many international telephone calls, it works well and cost is a mentioned in the previous posts
Because I told u so.... ;) for china unicom it's 17911 then 00+country code+mobile/landline number .... I haven't checked this site for a while and felt great to miss the usual stupid headlines of nonsense discussions etc... But it seems we can still help eachother with a few useful numbers ;)
Hi Young lady, long time no see...Yes, you have a good memory, you did tell me about it...THANKS!
I do not know, I have never priced Skype, the China mobile is cheap enough, and I like using my mobile telephone and not a computer...sorry, can not be of more help
For calling out, using a standard VoIP service, not a proprietary service (skype), I use this company. http://voip.ms/ You need a VoIP phone, or software to use on your computer to act like a VoIP phone. If you use the VoIP phone, it looks and feels like a normal phone, but it connects via wifi (normal comptuer wireless). It is rather nice. Good quality of the phone calls, and dirt cheap. Even my cell phone (Nokia N85) supports VoIP, but I always use my Nokia N800 (internet tablet) to make phone calls, because it does not run down the battery on my phone, and I can walk around the house while I talk.

Oh yeah, a fringe benefit of VoIP is I can get a local phone number, anywhere I want...for example, I'm from USA, so I can get a local number in my city, and when my friends call it, it is a local phone call for them, and my VoIP phone in China rings.

If anyone wants to get VoIP (there are many providers, so shop around), and needs help setting it up, let me know, and I can help out. I'm also looking for VoIP phones in China, that I can buy retail (I can find manufacturers with no problems, but I want to buy to use, not sell).
there is another one called UCALL( u can just downloaded in computer or cell ). .u can call anywhere in the world, pretty cheap, eg: i called canada is like 0.15 rmb/min . so, i think US is the same.. others would be pretty much around thAT price. but the only problem is the software is written by chinese. so, u have to pretty much guess the chinese letter.
haha~~I found a good and cheap way to call!!!!!!!!
See the advertisement on the left side? LemonIDD Card!!! Pretty cheap~~~and got a RMB20 card for free! Yes!!!hoho...
How is LemonIDD? worth trying?
I use my computer and bought a device called the Magic Jack, similar to other services, except you get a local phone # so there is no long distance charges. http://www.magicjack.com
