I think it is about time we started looking for a new way to systemize our global social structure, lets look to technology to find a way to make a fair social system for all members of the human race

And do you really thing if no one had to work, and no one wanted for anything that no one would do anything, people would just stop! no inventions? we would just play all day?? sorry people are not like that...
Permalink Reply by Justin McCloud on November 7, 2011 at 4:05pm millions of people would jump at the opportunity to help sustain and improve a system that cares for them and the rest of man kind
Permalink Reply by Freakboy on November 7, 2011 at 4:12pm I will give you that I can see billions jumping at the chance to never work again and have everything they need given to them.
Here comes the stone age again.
And just because they are enclosed that doesn't mean that someone stupid still wouldn't get in and put a polarity mess in the works.
Stupid is as stupid does remember. Nothing is stupid proof.
Permalink Reply by Ross on November 7, 2011 at 2:00pm Ouch! Couldn't think of much worse than Friedman...
Permalink Reply by GrandPa on November 7, 2011 at 2:04pm Maybe you can not, but at least he could explain his economic theories in a few minutes, where as most of you "believers" can not seem to make one specific point even after multiple posts.
Oh well, moving along to topics with some more depth to them, such as where to buy a beard comb in Shenzhen. :-)
If you guys ever come up with an idea...let us know.
Permalink Reply by Ross on November 7, 2011 at 2:17pm I'm not interested in debating on the net tbh. I posted a couple of links for people to read. If they want to read them they can, if the don't then they don't.
Permalink Reply by Profanipenguin on November 7, 2011 at 2:19pm The trouble with Friedman is that his policies are those of unrestrained greed, they have pushed millions into poverty and caused war, death and despair (which usually goes with the first two) around the globe.
Naomi Klein's excellent book - The Shock Doctrine has a no holds barred analysis of Friedman's policies in action, and The Chicago School which runs most of the world today.
The trouble with Friedman is that it's so simple it's seductive; "the market should run everything and government is pointless". The trouble is if you take that to its logical conclusion, there should be one company on earth, with a monopoly in every product and service, and that monopoly will determine how you live and when you die. Which is a bit uglier than that first line.
Anything unrestrained has enormous impacts on lives, that includes corporate greed and on the flip side also includes government interference. The trouble is that today corporates and governments are essentially the same thing.
I think abandoning money is a stupid idea - that's a lousy way to run a world, as is abandoning credit, however I do think it's time for strong controls from governments (if people would only wake up to see what Friedman's ideas are doing to them) to balance public good and individual greed.

Well it would be nice if we could just all stand up, all 7billion of us, as socially and environmentally responsible, citizens of a world dedicated to helping us all ...but i guess that is just to much to ask. So have a look at the link ...that has some good answers
Permalink Reply by Freakboy on November 7, 2011 at 2:04pm I have an idea you can give all your money to me as I have none, I use what I need and pass it on to someone else who has none, the trend continues until nobody has anything but everybody has what they need.
Haha puff puff pass, yeah that is good shit.
I agree most things in regards to surviving would be solved by getting rid of money all together.
Permalink Reply by JD on November 7, 2011 at 2:47pm I don't think it's the money that is causing the problem, it is "us" that is the problem. Money or monetary system, or whatever system you use, they are just tools. If we get rid of our "greed", any system will do just fine.
Permalink Reply by Justin McCloud on November 7, 2011 at 2:54pm Mate, where there is power there is greed, where someone can have more than someone else, there is greed. if we get rid of power, and money and everyone on the world can be equal that is when we get rid of greed...and only then
