I drink 8 glasses of water. But that's in a month, not in a day. 8 cups of coffee a day is more like it.
I eat an apple a day NOT! I only like apples when I dip them in chocolate fondue.
I eat veggies...well, sometimes. And that sometimes consist of when I go to my favorite Xian restaurant to eat my fave potato roll; and when I go to Simplylife Bread and Wine at IFC to have my salad fix.
I eat nachos like there's no tomorrow; I want meat sauce on my pasta; you can feed me chicken dish (fried, roasted, adobo, tinola, sinigang, soup) for a whole month and I'm happy...
So, you can see how 'healthy' I eat. Now I need to detox. Someone recommended detox pills from Australia for starters like me.
Any tips and advice? Muchas Gracias!

Permalink Reply by EK on June 13, 2012 at 4:08pm Colonic irrigation up the jaxie, works well! (LOL) :-)
In addition to this, you could try the gallbladder flush as well, which consists of grapefruit juice and a few other goodies, oil as well I think.
As a good suggestion, you may want to for every cup of coffee you have drink two glasses of water, eventually you will be able to replace the coffee, without the unnecessary sugars that the coffee is giving you!
I used to drink two litres of green tea day and a few pieces of fruit!
Permalink Reply by Cynic The Troll on June 13, 2012 at 10:19pm I did a colonic once, two days later was throwing up massive amounts of blood, had to be rushed to the hospital where I spent the next two days getting two pints of blood put back into me. Colonics have never been proven safe or effective.
Avoid meats and processed foods, consume leafy green veggies and broths, eat almonds or other nuts (not smoked, not candied, not salted) or take a fiber pill/drink, if you can't find it try to get some psyllium husk finely ground into a powder. I think 3 to 5 days doing this would be sufficient. Yogurt is beneficial for the intestinal flora and can be consumed the last day of the detox.
You can always take a probiotic in the future.
Permalink Reply by Robert on June 13, 2012 at 11:55pm I did not think you would ever be one to put something in the exit hole. I hear there are resorts in Thailand that specialize in this "treatment" What solution did they pump into you?
Permalink Reply by Cynic The Troll on June 14, 2012 at 12:35am It was in Thailand and it was a warm saline solution. I blogged about it once on here. You lie on a kind of plexiglass bed and can see the waste coming out of your backside as it shoots down these clear tubes. Problem with this, is it also removes good bacteria and mucous that the intestines need.
In my case, it ruptured an ulcer I didn't even know I had, therefore the vomiting of blood.
Permalink Reply by Robert on June 14, 2012 at 12:59am I read an article about this a few years back where some journo did this at a resort and said this freed some marble that had been stuck in a fold in his colon that had been there since he swallowed it as a kid.
Some people swear by it but I'm of the belief you clear your colon every time you take a dump and you can aid the cleansing by eating leafy greens and fibre with lots of water.
Good thing you survived.
Permalink Reply by EK on June 14, 2012 at 10:28am That may be true Robert, but you aren't talking about a straight pipe, there are many kinks and folds within, that store a lot of waste matter, that taking a shit, simply doesn't release.
I don't think it's particularly comfortable, and fortunately didn't suffer the same ill-effects as Cynic, but there is a lot of debate on the merits of such, some saying it is good, others stating the opposite.
I have had it done twice, and you do feel brilliant after all that shit has come out....LOL
.
From my recollection , they dispense 66 litres of water, and the bloating feeling can be quite uncomfortable, once this has reached it's limit, all the pressure forces all the excess food matter, and previous food waste that will not pass out naturally!
Permalink Reply by Isabelle on June 14, 2012 at 11:12am Any fiber pill you can recommend?
I know we should go all natural. But if swallowing a pill would save me from forcing or reconditioning myself to eat lots of fruits and veggies which are all contaminated anyway, then I'd go for the pill. I mean I've tried really to be good and disciplined and eat my fruits and veggies, stocked my fridge with healthy things - and I'm lucky if I consumed a fourth of them. Oftentimes, the guards in my building are lucky to have them before they all rot to waste.
Permalink Reply by Bert on June 13, 2012 at 4:42pm try traditional chinese medicine detox, the kind thats mostly bitter soup, keep it all natural and no pills...
