Shenzhen Stuff

Actually it happened this early morning at 2:34am. The grade is 4.8.
I was dreaming that the building was shaking and tilt. In my dream I slided from this end of the bed to the other end and felt the dizzy.
Thought it was only a dream. It shouldn't be that strong any way as the grade is only 4.8.
So did you feel it?

No, was there one? Kindly post a website with a News link.

Yes, me too.

No, I did not hear anything I just was snoring.

But It says: BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale jolted the Dongyuan county of Heyuan city in south China's Guangdong Province at 2:34 am Beijing Time Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter, with a depth of 13 km, was initially determined to be at 24.0 degrees north latitude and 114.5 degrees east longitude.

Beijing is too far away. It is warm and wet here again.

I miss Beijing, traveled there 20times in year 2010 and first half of 2011. :P

I may have felt nothing either if I was awake. lol

I surely did

You did?

must have been very deep underground.

On the richter scale this is a quake, but may have been  felt like a tremor.

If the energy was centered at a shallow depth underground it would have caused a shitload of damage.

One of the most powerful Earthquakes they experienced back home in Christchurch was 5.8 as I remember, at a depth of only 5km underground, it did a shitload of damage, but with less casualties than the previous 7.8 we had.

The hand of god Earthquake is probably when you get something in the 7's, at a shallow depth, these ones, cause much death and carnage, fortunately no one has been hurt, nor is there any damage...or is there?

Hey one of the deadliest Earthquakes of the twentieth Century occurred here, 1976 I believe, it may have been a 7.8 or 8.2, in Tang Shan.

However, with the dense population and rudimentary buildings at the time, this must have exacerbated the death toll, an d certainly didn't help humanities cause.

Let's hope last nights Earthquake isn't a sign of things to come!

Earthquake, nah your neighbor was just sneezing.

yes, I did. It was very strong. It woke me up. I thought it could happen in shenzhen. maybe the near is the last year for the earth!
