yesterday,When I was training in the Meeting room,The lecturer was sharing a story ,at the same time, all the content and information of the story was displayed on the Slide projectors,at the present,
imagine, Do you believe what u see or what u hear?
can u concentration on what the lecture speaking?
well, I believe what I see.
coz I can not concentration of wht he said when there displayed information .
At that time,I tryed not watch the PPT ,just focus on listenning. I did it but I found I couldn't well understand the story if I don't watch the information from the ppt...
Does this means we always believe what we see !

I look at each piece of information I receive skeptically, and try to corroborate each bit with other sources.
I don't depend on one source of information, one source of news, or any individual expert or pundit exclusively.

Based on my experience, they drum that kind of thinking out of you in elementary schools. So screw the schools, I'm going to give my kid some "real" education myself.
Permalink Reply by EK on September 23, 2011 at 8:53am I think the word you are looking for is ; "institutionalisation" , which they win gold medals at here.
"prepare to be assimilated" ha ha ha.
Good on you.
On that note, I have taken my four and a half year old son out of school for the last two months, his English has improved out of sight; then again, I have told him, don't do the marching, the chest beating, and all the other bullshit they try and drum into you, you can think for yourself!

From the mouth of an expat in Shenzhen, I tend to believe around 2%.

YES & YES. Fact-checking is no problem. But the two aren't necessarily the same.
They both require Advanced and Practical Skills which include Active Listening Skills and a strong sustained interest in developing excellence in yourself. Something some us call "essential broad background knowledge". And that's not something one can or should wait until a Lecturer is speaking before wondering if he/she has it. When someone is speaking, media is playing, etc. what is required from you the viewer or listener is the Skills and discipline (if you're really interested in understanding what they're saying) to concentrate 100%. Worrying about whether someone is lying or not; or whether the speaker has a big nose, nice hair, is married, or or whether they can be trusted or not is an unnecessary distraction I've blogged about (see the Inner Frenzy blog and this one). Plus:
Others include:
a) Transferable Critical Success Factors for Good Lawyering
**Which aren't just lists. It takes a long time to develop them but it is never too late to begin. And that "development" never ends.
c) Also: Being Different Is Easy. Be Yourself. (Part II)
Best wishes!

Sometimes the world is full of a confusion, and u must see it by your ears and eyes,
yet the most important is,
from the bottom of your heart!
