I've got a painting that was given to me to help raise startup capital for a business I'm working on. At first I thought it was Japanese, but I had several people tell me they couldn't read it. It's calligraphy. It was bought in the 1970s or 1980s. It was owned by the man who invented liquid hand soap.
If any of you can read Chinese or Japanese Calligraphy let me know.
I know it's worth at least $9000 usd, its around the price it was bought for. I'm hoping to get around $100,000 to $150,000.
This is the full view of the picture.
No one is replying yet, so I guess I'll check out China daily and see if their forum can help
I'm a Chinese,I'm sure it's a Chinese painting.It says “*到人间谈天上，谁知天上美人间”.
I can read both.
