Looking for a quality Tailor in Shenzhen or GZ
Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a good quality tailor in SZ to make a suit and some dress shirts. I'm looking to spend 2-3000rmb for a suit and 200rmb for dress shirts.
Are there any "fabric markets" in the area like the ones in Shanghai that have hundreds of fabric stalls/tailors who can copy cloths and tailor good suits? I've been to LuoHu and was not really impressed with the selection or quality.

The best i can suggest (personal experience) would be in Hong Kong at Sams Tailor !!

Thanks, may I ask how much you paid for a good quality wool suit and shirts? I also looked at HK tailors around TST ...but its getting pricey there with rents so high. Most tailors want 4-5000 and upwards for a suit.

While I have also been to Sam's, I wouldn't say they are the best. It is more the celebrity status they have. The suits I had made there were OK but their shirts are terrible. Sam (Manu) may measure you up for the suit but he does not make it himself.

Yes, there are some excellent tailors in Shanghai and the prices are great there. I'm just thinking with the huge textile and fashion industry you can find the same around SZ.

Frankly speaking I gave up on tailors in Asia. A few years ago I got a lot of cloth done by trailers, but the quality or understanding of fashion is not god anymore. I used to go frequently to a tailor shop in Shekou, the Lowu and had cloth done in BKK or even PK, with non of them I'm statiisfied anymore. I went back to a get my shirts done by Germans best shirt manufacturer and even whe it cost me a lot the quality is fantastic. For the rest I go for ready made cloth.

Check zhongda fabric market, it's one of biggest fabric markets in China,located in haizhu district,guangzhou,Metro sation ZHONGDA.Its huge,you can find everything there.
It's easy to find a garment factory in sz,but may not easy find a good tailor shop as skilled workers are in factory..
