Shenzhen Stuff

Ok, so I don't mind to take metro and walk in the rain, but I just like to ask the travelers here:
Is this the unique thing for SZ out of all the big morden cities in China or even in the world?
If no, where else? And what do you think the reason is?

what time was it. taxis become even worse when it is the shift change where they will refuse to pick u up. happens at like 5:30 or 6 when everyone needs a taxi after work.

7:30pm

yes, I often meet this when this shift change.

what time was it. taxis become even worse when it is the shift change where they will refuse to pick u up. happens at like 5:30 or 6 when everyone needs a taxi after work which is retarded , absolutely...peak-hour traffic and many people struggle to get home from work......couldn't agree with you more, why can't they do the change over at any time but these?

I think the cab companies would probably make a lot more revenue too .....a big facepalm for this stupidity....this isn't going to change either.

On a slightly different note, I have to go to the place I bought our car from tomorrow, as I have incurred a few demerit points, when my better half asked how many points I have , and also asked if there is an official document outlining these, the answer came back 'NO, you just have to remember how many you have accrued"....fucking monkeys, honestly, "some" of these lawmakers have rocks in their heads!

you lazy bum, just walk home :P

Yes, I should walk from Shanghai back to Shenzhen.

Why not will take you roughly 3 months :D

It will be the most interesting thing you would have ever done!

because of the key word: raining.  It is really hard to take a taxi on rainy day, because there are much more guys need taxis. but if you're getting a long taxi trip, you can call the taxi center to order a taxi before your trip. I know 2 numbers: 96511 & 95000

Ok. Then what about in other cities? Also no taxi during rainy days?
I mean in the airport

Probably the same reason they turn off the meter and want to charge you more when it's raining.  I found most taxi drivers in China to be very unprofessional, either they cheat you on the price, take the scenic route, drive like a madman or love to spit out the window going 50 mph and not even worried about backwash on the passenger(s).

Welcome to China! Enjoy the shit hole :D
