Woo just full of news today fellows. I'm from Australia and iPhone 4 is too and my Android Tablet is from Hong Kong.
Its Official China has blocked the Google Market, also know as Google Play now. We wanted to wait for a few days before posting this ad just to be sure. Our tech geek friends can't do anything, my iPhone 4s works still with Itunes features for now, but rumor has it that iTunes is next to be blocked.
What does this mean: It means we'll have to start downloading in Hong Kong or somewhere else.
Whats phone or Tablets have we tested: We tested phones and Tablets bought in Hong Kong, not Phones bought or tabs bought in China. (Sometimes this makes a big difference.)
How Long will it be Blocked: Any guess is as good as mine. Who knows.
Why did China block it?: I asked me mate, he's a computer geek working in Hua Qian Bei. He said: China has blocked the Google market due to the recent new applications that offers browsers with built in VPN's which can surf websites like: 1. Twitter 2. Facebook 3. Youtube with easy.
How to get around this issue: My Geek mate said you'll have to buy your own VPN that can be incorporated into a cell phone. ( I' ve Never Tried this, have you guys?, Does it work?)
Future with out iTunes?: My Geek mate said it is very possible as any application that can be found on the Google market can also be found on iTunes.
If anyone else has any other solution or knows any news related to this topic, please fill us in. And if you know where we can buy a VPN.
Thanks Mates.

Permalink Reply by TheGreenHulk on June 4, 2012 at 4:02pm Strongvpn.org for android and iphone OS, also if you have any issues with Google Play, best option is to download on your SD card via Cnet on 3G or wifi and run install from SD.

cnet in China never opens right for me or not at all, occasionally it will but cnet Asia is ok. File Hippo or Major Geeks is where I usually go to get updates for PC and such.
A very useful site indeed mate.
Permalink Reply by Pool Junkie on June 4, 2012 at 11:36pm Astrill.com is easily the best VPN i've seen, and it works really well on smart phones. It also has servers all over the world. It is US$40 for 6months or US$70 for a year.
My Galaxy Tab can still access the Market as of this morning so...
