Officially Google Market (Play) Blocked in China. iTunes Next.

Woo just full of news today fellows. I'm from Australia and iPhone 4 is too and my Android Tablet is from Hong Kong.

Its Official China has blocked the Google Market, also know as Google Play now. We wanted to wait for a few days before posting this ad just to be sure. Our tech geek friends can't do anything, my iPhone 4s works still with Itunes features for now, but rumor has it that iTunes is next to be blocked.

What does this mean: It means we'll have to start downloading in Hong Kong or somewhere else.

Whats phone or Tablets have we tested: We tested phones and Tablets bought in Hong Kong, not Phones bought or tabs bought in China. (Sometimes this makes a big difference.)

How Long will it be Blocked: Any guess is as good as mine. Who knows.

Why did China block it?: I asked me mate, he's a computer geek working in Hua Qian Bei. He said: China has blocked the Google market due to the recent new applications that offers browsers with built in VPN's which can surf websites like: 1. Twitter  2. Facebook  3. Youtube with easy.

How to get around this issue: My Geek mate said you'll have to buy your own VPN that can be incorporated into a cell phone. ( I' ve Never Tried this, have you guys?, Does it work?)

Future with out iTunes?:  My Geek mate said it is very possible as any application that can be found on the Google market can also be found on iTunes.

If anyone else has any other solution or knows any news related to this topic, please fill us in. And if you know where we can buy a VPN.

Thanks Mates.

Like I said its a mystery, I can tell it has something to do with logging into the email account. If it can't log in than the Market(Play) won't work.

I bought a VPN, now its ok and works great. I also heard it might have something to do with the Qingming Square anniversary. I'm not sure. Some of my friends still can't access it.

That's China for you mate.

So sad. All these investments and developments in mobile infrastructure in China, and the great firewall just bogg down speed and blocks every other useful site.
