Plz help for getting a Chinese Visa when overstayed last time

Hi,Everyone Please help . my friend overstayed for 21days and he went the police station and have fined 5500RMB, and they gave him an overstayed visa with 10 days leave China.

after that he went to Chinese embassy in HK, and they did not give him a visa, because they saw his passport has an overstayed visa and asked him to go back to his country to get one. he took the idea from the agency to get a new passport in his country embassy, so the embassy do not see the overstay and maybe will give him a visa.

he got the new passport in Thailand, and got a 5days arrival visa in Huanggang border. The problem is this time when he  went to Huanggang border again, they did not give him a visa and Romove the 5days visa that they gave him last time, and said last was a mistake. Now the Chinese Embassy in HK do not give him a visa, because they saw his passport has the stamps to enter China, but has no visa on the passport. they want him to show his old passport to see if there was a visa for the stamps. but it is impossible.

Please help if you know how the solution is. my friend plans to get a new visa. Thank you very much!

Overstayed 21 days? this is too much and he is irresponsible at all.. No help for such a person, solly.

Sorry, he got that visa from the Visa angecy, he thought it was after enter China for the second time can still stay for 90 days. but it was totally 90days for 2entery. is it the best solution to get a new passport again? Thank you

Chinese visa number of entries and duration of stay are really confusing for those who are new in China. So, it is always wise to ask whoever issues your visa, about your visa entry and duration of stay. In 2006, I over stayed my first Chinese visa for one day coz I never thought August has 31 days and I read I have one month more left, but the counting of my stay is from my last entry. They stopped me at lohu border. I was nervous coz they didn't tell me the reason at first . But the officers were nice and they let me go. No fine, no " OS " record, but a verbal warning. I am sorry about your friend. But I think your friend will be careful in readin his or her next chinese visa though I am not sure getting a new passport is a solution, but maybe ask a company to hire and give him or her a work permit, should be good, then the chinese government won't have reason to refuse his or her visa application again

Go to Thailand, get another passport and start again.

Yes, He is getting the new passport in Thailand now. hope he will get a visa in Thailand too. Thank you very much!

Does he have a job? Typically, a company can "vouch" for him, that there is a need for him to be here, explain why he "accidentally" overstayed. I dealt with something similar with my son. I got the short-term visa in HK, then got the residence permit in GZ with the company's support.

He is a self employer and working as a secret spy. so he would do it as a traveller.:D

Why did he think he could overstay in China for so long?  Same as CB, no help from me for such a person.

He got his visa in an travelling agency in HK, and he thought he got a visa is 2 entries. and he could stay for 90 days every time for he entried China so the second time when he entred and he stayed for another 90days. but the visa actually is 90 days with 2 entries. there was a misunderstand between my friend and the travel angecy.

I've got no sympathy for morons.  Your friend needs to smarten up and go home and reapply all over again. You didn't say where he/she is from, but if they deny him a visa for the red flag, just have he/she apply for a new passport, then get a new visa.

Thank you guys for helping with the visa information. my friend is getting the new passport in Thailand. and hope can get a new visa. I will keep it updating.

thank you very much, best wishes!

Anyone who would overstay his visa by 21 days is too stupid to be traveling beyond his back yard.
