Pray for Peace

I've seen 2-3 calls to do "something" to help Shenzhen. Nothing has come of them. I think it's a great concept and I have a specific proposal.

With all the problems in the world, it's time the more fortunate of us do something to help others. I suggest we form a diverse group of religions, nationalities, and genders.

La Casa used to be closed on Monday, if it still is, maybe we could get David's approval to meet on his porch. He wouldn't have to open the place, and of course we would clean up any messes we might accidentally make.

Once assembled we could pass out prayer books, a few for each religion, and all pray for peace at the same time in our native tongues.

Then we could sing songs, each in our own language, to show our deep desire for world peace and god's love.

Finally, we could scatter rice around the patio to show out sympathy for all of god's creatures including rats, mice, and old ladies.

A hat will be passed around and any money collected will be donated to the poor.

Finally we could light candles in the darkness to light our way home.
