Dr. Zhivago.
Yeah, that is a beautiful move, good pick!
That also is a good pick for one of Kami's old posts...Great Movies Bad Books. The book is just so so in my view.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (extended versions + bonus material...yeah, I'm THAT nerd)

Mission Impossible (the following sequels were totally UNNECESSARY)

Back to the Future....pick one...for their time, the special FX were pretty sick!

Matrix

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
hm.....nice choice...specially the last one...
Kim Ji-woon's "A Tale of Two Sisters," "A Bittersweet Life"

Masaki Kobayashi's "Kaidaan"

Takashi Miike's "The Bird People in China"

Pen-Ek Ratanaruang's "Last Life in the Universe," "Invisible Waves"

Honourable mention: Bong Joon-ho's "Memories of Murder." It isn't as visually beautiful as the others, but every shot is framed in a complete, very satisfying kind of way
Gummo, Julian Donkey Boy, Edward Yang's YI YI, The Searchers (all most all John Ford movies), and the all time favorite The Last Picture Show.
