What Is a Traditional Western Man?

This question sort of pop up in my mind, after reading several discussions about traditional Chinese girls or "traditional Chinese girls". I think it's safely to say, a big majority of the girls in SZStuff are NOT traditional.
Now, I wonder if there's really a stereotype which we can apply to western guys as well.

Also, even though they get a much better salary than most Chinese, they are still leading a Western lifestyle, as in, don't live on 5 kuai Chinese meals, or share old, shabby apartments with 3 or 4 other people, go out only once a month, etc...So the expenses are still 'Western' even though their earnings aren't equivalent to those in the West.
I can safely say this 100% applies to Western women here, not just Western guys ;-))

Yeah, also anything of any quality in China is probably more expensive than in Western countries. Drinking is also a lot more expensive in China, so where foreigners spend a lot on weekends at home, they do it here and it costs them even more.

Like Dan said, they've been having an absolute belter of a time and spending all their money having fun. You'd notice someone like that a lot more than a guy who was married and settled down though.

There isn't one... 'the West' is a term that encompasses so many different countries and cultures, and for the most part even within those countries there are big cultural differences and thereafter big differences between individuals.
A good stereotype would be:
"Most western guys in their 20's aren't looking to get married"

Actually it depends on where you live. I think traditional American guy, would be fat, not care about his looks too much, be into sports, into his family going to his boring ass job (anything to pay the bills). At least thats what i think a stereotypical american guy is...oh and if you look, at places like Oklahoma City then yes they are looking to get married and have kids at 20....I am from NY so its a lot different..

well my brother lived there a few years, and you should know that the majority of people living there are like this..of course there are always exceptions i wish people would read my post and if they did, they would see that i wrote, what a STEREO TYPICAL American would be...in my opinion....not that i believe all Americans are like this...

How can they be fat and into sports at the same time? Seems to me, if he is into sports (Unless it's Xbox, WWii, billiards or just watching) then he would not be fat.
I do agree that many Americans get married in their 20's, not just in Oklahoma City but nationwide.

i never said everyone in new york is good looking at all, they are fat and into watching sports and all are little Guidos..its my opinion that's all dont get smart with me..if you read my post you would see that i wrote, what a STEREO TYPICAL AMERICAN would be...in my opinion....not that i believe all Americans are like this...

Oh yes, a traditional American thinks that he has superpower, although the truth is he lose the war in Vietnam, war in Korea, war in Afghanistan, war in Iraq, now will lose a war with Iran and with North Korea...
And yeah, the one who lose his dignity when the economy collapses a pitiful event that took away his credit card, job and house, the event which brought miseries to other countries because of their financial meltdown, He is a traditional who buy things on credit in excess of his capacity to pay...
He is the one who lost his pants when a black american become his president in a place where the majority are whites.....
One who thinks that they won the war in WWII when in fact they killed millions of innocent lives in japan with nuclear weapons, the innocent beings who has done nothing to them.
He is the one who thinks that with their nuclear weapon he can dominate the world, which in reality, always is threatening the very existence of human lives today.
He who thinks that they can always invade any sovereign country and get away with it.
The list can go on and on and on...
