What Is a Traditional Western Man?

This question sort of pop up in my mind, after reading several discussions about traditional Chinese girls or "traditional Chinese girls". I think it's safely to say, a big majority of the girls in SZStuff are NOT traditional.
Now, I wonder if there's really a stereotype which we can apply to western guys as well.

No offense Xiao, but I really won't go that far and call what Joyce had written as criteria for "perfect" guy( I do notice you use quotation mark but still......) I would say it's quite normal for a guy to want to settle down with wife and children in a certain stage of his life.
While I have a hard time defining this traditional traits of western men, I have known some "untraditional" ones who got out of their marriage but continued to seek for happiness, and they were happy on this pursuit of happiness.
Family stability is indeed a key source of anybody's happiness, but I think knowing what you want and who you are even more vital. Somebody who wants to stay out of marriage can be as happy as any married person.

Dear Moon, wat u saying is right, I agree with you most,maybe I go far with this topic u r talking now, but dont u think its a big and deep question here, no final answer, we just put differnt and new definition on it, since everything change through time, so "tradition" is changing as well...as I think tradition is different from stereotypes
Anyway as a woman, I think the men we want, maybe not traditional or untraditonal, we just need a someone who really wanna share his life with you together and wanna be part of your life. Sorry maybe I go far again... :P

Also no matter marrage people or the people who stay out of marriage, they have thier happiness and unhappiness in thier life, just like some people would love to act as a trditional person, some people would be above being a traditional person. We live in different worlds, we have differnt points of life, we have different tradition. We are different , so we possible to love, hate, fight each other in this world.

Basically, I don't think there's much difference between any traditional men, no matter where they are from. We all want a stable job, get married, have children, provide for our families, own a home, etc.
I just think ranking them in the proper order varies by culture.

Wait wait wait~~ Traditional or typical?
We say many girls in the Mainland are 'traditional', we are talking about 'traditional values'. Typical is a totally different thing.

Just look my boy friend, you should know what is a tradtional western man .
1. never flirting around other woman except me.
2. I am the best in his eye and most beautiful girl in his eye.
3. never say : F*** word or any other rude words.
4. very polite and patient and never care or argue with people even they are not right.
5. dress normal, no long hair or weird body tatoo and don't smoke or any drugs to fuck up his head.
6 Marry once is enough for him.
somebody say he is : old style. but always looks right.
guess i am lucky, this kind of man do remain even in China.

I don't know if that is traditional really, but he don't cheat , don't fool around, one to one kind of person... he always tell me,: "unique," that's why love is meaningful.
and you so far only married once, and you took care your kids so much, a very good dad I can see , that's is something great of you.
