Permalink Reply by Profanipenguin on March 14, 2012 at 1:45pm I'm making a movie - it's killed "Kindy Air Guitar" and it details the life of an illiterate expatriate who "teaches" English during the day and at nights tries to become a professional air guitarist. He finds love online before his hopes of stardom are cruelly dashed when he realises - nobody will pay you not to play an instrument.
It will have an all star cast including; "That bloke who drowned on Neighbours 2 days after arriving on Ramsey Street!" and "Some Chinese chick who was willing to blow me to get her first film role." To reflect the high quality calibre of the real life examples on which it is based.

Permalink Reply by Filthy Lucre on April 19, 2012 at 3:15am I learned today that Levon Helm of The Band has terminal cancer and is close to death. That reminds me of the movie "The Last Waltz" that was a film of The Band's last concert and was directed by Martin Scorsese. It was both a great music movie and a great movie on its own.
There is another movie I enjoyed about the life of Jerry Lee Lewis. I forgot its name, but Jerry Lee was played by Dennis Quaid. He nailed it.
I keep thinking of other movies. There was a movie about the band Metallica. I think it was called "Monster," but I might have that wrong. I'm not a fan of Metallica's music, but the movie was fascinating.
