Hey everybody -- I will be performing Tuesday night (VALENTINE'S) at "Beatle's" club in Shekou -- right next to the McDonald's by the Boat. I will be singing my light rock love set at 9 pm and a Beatles Tribute set at 10. Please come out and have fun with me and bring your sweetheart. Rory

Hey everybody. I will be singing at Amigo's in Shekou every Saturday night at 9 pm and at Amigo's in Luo Hu (off of Renmin road near King's Glory Plaza) every Sunday night at 8:30 pm. There's no cover charge (that I know of) so come out and see my show. Rory

I hope all is well with you. I will be the opening act for Freakshow this year on October 22nd at "Enigma" in Shekou. I will be doing a shortened version of my Tribute to Elvis set. Hello all. I just wanted to say that I will be performing at "Amigo's" restaurant near Guo Mao on Saturday - October 8th. I will be doing my Roy Orbison show at 8:30 pm and my Frank Sinatra show at 10 pm. I have also been invited to perform in FREAKSHOW!  I will keep all of you posted on that.

The "Jeudi13" company (from GZH) will play "Tableaux de chasse" in Shenzhen Thursday.

 

The play is in french and encompasses political intrigue and sexual obsession, philosophical reflection and violent action, tragic depth and wild humour.

A word of warning to my actor friends here... a few people have come in here claiming that they are talent agents. Now, I have not done any business with these people (yet) so I can not vouch for them or their character.  What I can tell you from my experience is that a ligitimate talent agent should never ask you, (the talent) for any money up front. Talent agents work off of commission and depending on the agent, they are only supposed to make fifteen to twenty percent of the money paid for a performance.  Now, in China an agent might take more than that and never tell you exactly how much the client paid for your services.  It is up to you if you want to accept that.  If you really want to work in acting -- you may decide to work for less in the beginning.  But again, NEVER pay an agent money before any work has been secured and paid for. That is a little tip from me to you.

 

If anyone tries to scam you pretending to be a ligitimate talent agent, please inform me and I will write a post here to warn all of our performance pals.

Hello everyone. This week I uploaded some videoa of my performances so you guys don't think I am "just blowin' smoke". I hope you enjoy the songs and skits. If anyone wants to gather for discussion about acting, please let me know. Maybe we can meet in Luo Hu or Coco Park for coffee or dutch lunch ("We'll do lunch, Babe!").
