Unfortunately Im not able to vote as Im not an American, but anything has to be better than 4 more years of Americas current foreign policy. Right now the U.S credibility has been sold to Chaneys mates, Americans living abroad should have felt the reaction to that more than anyone. If you vote for this guy we will all be nice to you again, and you might even win arguments in bars.
Plus this Obama chap makes better music.

Thanks Cliff. Take your point that very vote counts esp when many states use highly suspect paperless devices.By the way, like your western dude shirt. Are they Martins in the background. Bit of a dobro fan myself. counterpunch.org has a very different take on Obanas appeal.... pls join my page....blog to be written on great train songs....the history of the US which is fast disappearing...will explain. Beginning with the big daddy of them all...Rambling Man by Hank Williams. Unfortunately I had to sell 4 metres of rare vinyl last year..and to this day I regret it. Cheers and hope the site grows.

Wow, no kidding... that site you recommended made it easy. I downloaded a .pdf of the absentee ballot request form (with all my info filled out and ready to go) in less than 5 minutes. All I need to do now is send it in. Thanks for the link, David!

I think the Barack site isa bit confusing as per how to cast an overseas ballot. This one seemed a bit more straightfoward....http://www.overseasvotefoundation.org/

Myles, although the right choice might seem obvious to you and me, we can look back to just four years ago and wonder how the US managed to elect Bush Jr. for a second term in office. Although it always seems to come as a surprise to people who view American politics from the outside in, the conservative elements of American society will indeed vote for a warmongering stooge that makes a show of reflecting their views on religion, abortion, homosexuality, immigration, stem cell research, and other issues that are culturally and emotionally divisive within the United States, but mostly irrelevant to international onlookers. This year's election has not been won yet. The last two elections were fought out in obscure nooks and crannies of the US electoral system, and decided only by slight margins. Every vote counts... even the ones that are mailed in from China. We wish we could count yours!

Come on Chris. Obama doesnt need a Sz support group. He already walks on water. He is a cypher: you can read into him whatever you want for the US's future.
One of the few non-sleazy POTUS's along with Ike (who coined the industrial militarry complex) and Carter.

JFK, Nixon, Johnson, Reagan, Clinton (and I'm not thinking of Monica) and Bush senior, all carried a ton of baggage. Bush junior is a warmonger with the brains of a paper cup and no respect for constitutional niceties.

At least Obama will repair the US's global image and not because he is non-white. As for Ms Pantysuit/Team Hillary.....we are talking Lady Macbeth redux. Obama arresting the economic decline in the US, I don't think so..... Crumbling infrastructure and a money market run by vampires. However, when one looks back over the 20th century, and faced with a choice of empires....US, USSR, Japan and China....we were still lucky we got the US. America reiventing itself....the economic decay is too wide and deep....take decades to dig out of debt. I would enjoy having Obama and his family over for a barbcuein the backyard Oz style. He will do Mc Cain like a dinner come November and good luck to him and his supporters.
