Hey, Hip-hop group, I have been here few weeks, but nothing seems to be orgainised here. Any activities?

Hip-hop isn't dead here, it's just lost it's audience. The old spots are either turning too pop or commercial sounding. There are only a few good DJ's that play good hip-hop in Shenzhen. DJ T.K.O., he spins at Chocolate and U-Bar; DJ Snow at Club de Acqua, DJ Chill-C at Acqua; Jesse Warren. Richy's music is okay, but the crowd isn't to my taste. As far as b-boys, they go to U-Bar every once in awhile or you can see them on the street in Dongmen practicing all the time. I used to teach hip-hop dance, but I stopped because I could never get enough people to come on the same day. I always got different people on different days and usually 1 or 2 at a time. If anyone is interested, I'm available on Sunday's. Send me a message for info and details.

Hey Greg, I'm on the same mission for hip hop, so far quite disappointing. I'm thinking of trying Ricky club soon, has anyone been there? Any good?

In my opinion, hip hop is not just a way to be cool, but is a way to show our life:energy,happy,free!
