Mandarin-Surf Professional Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and SUP Surfing Company

Welcome to MANDARIN SURF. Established in 2010, MS has been promoting watersports in China with a main emphasize on Wind'Surf, Kite'Surf and SUP'Surf (Paddle boarding) named as the "3S". Thanks to a personal experience of more than 20 years, Daniel has been conducting private clinics, surf trips across China especially in Hainan, Guangdong and Fujian.

The Shenzhen Eastern Area from Dameisha to Dapeng offers a variety of water's condition to all levels. Not far away, Pinghai - Huizhou has got even better conditions.

Luckily, watersports can be played all year round in Guangdong as the temperature of the water doesn't go below 17 celsius. Wetsuits will keep you warm in fall - winter that are generally the best seasons.

Interested to give it a shot? Please contact me on wechat: DanielSurfHainan or by email: villa.cardamone@gmail.com

Weekend Nov. 15 - 16

Last weekend was another windy and sunny one. Spaniard Isra had his blast in DC beach while Saturday night the boyz Francis, Nicolas, Tieren,Henry and the girls who joined the barbecue party at the Villa Cardamone. Thank you Isra for your amazing Sangria!

Fall - Winter is definitely the best time in Shenzhen to practice wind sports. The wind was ON from November 7-8-9.

Friday we were blessed with 20+ knots of wind and 5 feet wave in Dongchong Mike was comfortable with hi 8M while super muscle Jeff was fighting with his 12!

Saturday was the day for Daniel coming from GZ to have his first kite lessons with me. Due to the rain and cold we drove to Pinghai to find some North Wind.

Sunday back to Dongchong where strong North Wind was blowing heavy gusts up to 30 knots early in the morning, then Switched N-E with an amazing blue sky and clean water. The Sunday ended at Villa Cardamone with a big pasta bowl shared with fellow surfers - kiteboarder Jorge and Lolis. The coming weeks look even better, so anybody ready for some action, join us!

Good Day, I'm benjamin & based on comments by Daniel yesterday, wondering whether Pinghai / Xun Liao is often kited.

I purchased a boat and the secluded islands across my apartment has got some clear water with great winds blowing from the ocean and really flat water which seems great for kiting. Unfortunately for me, I'm a beginner in kite surfing (12m vector) so was wondering for some company to make this place a spot for kiting.

Cheers!!

Here are the photos of the latest trip in Pinghai / Huizhou. Only 130 km from Shenzhen, it offers amazing conditions for all rider's style. Flat water, waves, beginners, SUP and surfers. Stoked!

Hi Phil

I kitesurf and  mostly go to Peng cheng, it gets better after october. And as i said better for my family. correction on my saying below. Aloha has a kitesurf coach.

For the other places to kite, around Sz i only went to Huizhou and HK. daniel knows the good places better than me

Hey Nicolas,

Thanks for your kind words. Don't worry I know when people are passionate about a sport then strong words may be used in the wrong way, I have chatted to both those guys now and both have been very helpful and friendly.

Yes, thats something I noticed about Pengcheng, very busy and a lot of work going on in the town. Where do you usually go? I hear DongChong could be a good option, do you wind or kite surf mostly?

Hi Phil,

As a member of the Shenzhen surfing community I feel sorry for the welcome that was made to you.

Let's set aside below fight that should be solved in private...

I know Aloha, I know Daniel. I know Symon... Nobody is perfect....

I personnally have great time in Aloha with my family. PengChen Beach is getting crowded in summer but still it is the place where I can relax, Kiting when there is wind and otherwise enjoy seaside with family having a nice meal and environnement. Unfortunately right now no kite instructor but they will surely help you to find one on that beach.

I had great trips with Daniel in Guangdong and Hainan. He is not fixed to one place and if you are learning, staying only one beach might take some time. With him you can go where the wind blows.

I also had Nice rides side by side kite vs windsurf with Symon, He also knows the community well. I do not know XiaoDi as a instructor but if he recommends it is surely also not bad.

Make your choice freely

Hang Lose.

Phil,

I think the only feasible Kitesurfing instructor is XiaoDi, he is a profesional instructor that always gets his customer's on the water and at the same time he is a very likable guy that really loves the sport. I have been told his tuition is reasonably priced too. Another option would be to learn in Hong Kong, I believe there are some very good schools there.

I would suggest that you stay as far away as possible from Daniel and Aloha, I have experienced the worst side of both. I

Daniel,

Dorry for my late reply, I've been too busy windsurfing over the last couple of days. It would seem you have not as you had time to actually contribute to the group.

A Dodo is an extinct type of bird from Australia, extinct for at least 150 years. So when I said " As dead as A Dodo" I meant that this group is completely dead, dead for a long time.

As nobody that I know has seen you for months, it appears you have had your head stuck in the sand at DongChong, so all I have heard are rumours as to what you are doing. Some of the best rumours were that you were selling of all your stuff because you couldn't hack it China, that you had turned gay and had gone to live in San Francisco and the best one was that your social club in such a relaxing locations by the motorway and in a rather dismal village had actually been opened and you were busy signing in gulable members. There was only one of these that I thought could have been true !

Not sure why you want to attack my windsurfing skills or suggest that I can't deal with shorebreak. I have never bother to go windsurf at DongChong as the wind is so gusty, fickle, etc., that I don't think I would ever enjoy windsurfing there. Especially when within 90 minutes drive I have so many different beaches to launch from with a few giving me constant sideshore conditions so I can actually concentrate on my jumps and wave riding. I hope you have a good time playing with yourself at DongChong.

Yesterday a windsurfing mate of mine from DanShui, I am sure you know who I mean, mentioned to me that he is still waiting for a reply about some windsurfing gear that he wanted to buy from you. Don't bother answering him as he has been using the gear that I helped him buy for at least 6 weeks now. You certainly lost a good customer there, plonker. He has spent more that 50,000 rmb on gear recently.

I am going to delete myself from this ridiculous group, it is run by a moron and run like a Dodo sanctuary.

A warm welcome to Renee, thank you for joining Mandarin Surf today! Wow, an elegant and classy lady like will certainly give some fresh air to the group.

Wind season has kicked off, the autumn should be all good for kitesurfing. I am keen to continue our kitesurfing lessons in. It was a great fun to have you in Hainan this spring.

Cheers & hug!
