Comment by symon tabbenor on March 28, 2013 at 9:57am Sorry guys, I meant the forecast for Saturday is great. See you on the water :-)

Yes it was just as you mentioned, there was some nice waves to ride and very flat water in between. I had my best windsurf session in many years !
It is the first time I really felt comfortable with my "little" 105L board, but sadly not too many gybes were successful as the board ( and me ) was bouncing round so much. Anyway my waterstarts are getting a lot better ! My GPS told me my fasted 10 second speed was 67 kph which I was really happy with, so "Old and Fat is Fast" :-). My GPS also told me that in one of the wipe outs I went into the water at 119 kph !
Let's hope we have a few more days like this before Dapeng suffers from being in the shadows of the summers southerly winds.
Nico , I saw you were flying around. Actually all I could see was a yellow helmet with a big smile as you went by. Have you seen the forecast for Monday ? Should be more of the same, See you on Monday !
Comment by Nicolas MARTZ on March 27, 2013 at 6:24pm My umbrella was a 7 years old Slingshot C shape fuel 9m and I had to take a 133 board to start to feel I can get in control....
Comment by Daniel Tim San Nam F. on March 27, 2013 at 5:39pm Wow, if Symon was full powered with 5.0 I could just go kiting with a golf umbrella... I love Dapeng bay when it's super windy especially when it's half high tide, there are some waves breaking on the left of the bay, and between them glassy water for great acceleration and power gybes.

What a great day last Tuesday ! Everyone was flying, especially you :-)
It was really windy, I was using just a 5.0m2 and at times that was too much as my speed going through the chop was getting quite dangerous. I was on the water for about 4 hours, my muscles are still aching 2 days later.
Seems that Saturday will be good too, and maybe Sunday morning as well so see you over the weekend :-)

Comment by Nicolas MARTZ on March 27, 2013 at 11:17am Yep, for once wind was perfect in Dapeng and the 2 days holiday I took were worth it!!!
Comment by symon tabbenor on March 24, 2013 at 12:42pm Looks like tomorrow will be an amazing day at DaPeng, take a look at the Wingduru forecast . Last Thursday was great too, I had 4 hours or so with a small freewave board and a 6,2 sail. The wind was still blowing when I came off the water, my ageing muscles couldn't put up with any more !

I highly recommend that you take a few days in HaiNan early in April. I was there the same time last year and everyday was windy !! I wish I could be there but too busy at work to take a couple of weeks off :-(
