Ref. hair salons. I go to one that's called I.O. Hair salon, it's in Causeway Bay. Not sure how different it is from those in Central, but it's just a regular hair salon with Hong Kong staff in it (no foreigners) and their prices are very reasonable. Sometimes I could even say cheap! Some of what I'd do in Shenzhen would even cost me more than in I.O. I don't see why on earth anyone would want to go to an upmarket hair salon. And not only in HK but anywhere! Usually, it's pretty much no use, if you don't go there regularly. If you go once, no matter how good that posh hair stylist is, he is not familiar with your hair and, most importantly, your preferences. He might not get it right the first time. In fact, it's almost certain he will not. So why spend a fortune on that???!! Silly.
