Shenzhen Stuff

Hello everyone,

I badly  need to do some exercise, so I am bascially looking for a place where I can do Yoga but which is not super expensive.

If there is any other sports activity someone wants to offer, I am glad to hear. I haven't had much exercise since I am in China and I need to catch up slowly!

Hi,Berenice, i am doing yoga at yilida building which is near from nan tou. The price and service is ok. I get 20rmb/time,which i can practice everytime as much as i want.

Just for your reference.

hi! Is it a class or just a place to practice? Sounds good and it's not too far from my home!
a place to practice yoga,,,,,,,,,

they have teachers there for different kinds of yoga, i have been there three times. it was not bad. 26641033 is their front desk telephone.

Sound not bad at all, thank you! Do they speak some English or are the classes in Chinese? I am not sure if I can follow the instructions just by watching what the teacher is doing...?

there is a korean teacher who teaches dance as they said, BUT i havent seen her since i always have sth these weekends. For yoga teachers are chinese. when i was there, if my guests are wrong, the teacher will come to correct me.

Hi Fennie,

Just stumbled onto your post here as I just moved to the area. Can I just clarify that what you mentioned is like a shala that you can just pay and go there to practice? I am doing ashtanga yoga and have been looking for a shala if there is one or a place that teachers ashtanga yoga but in mysore style. Cheers for any info on this!

I just imitate teachers, actually what they said dont work for me. Maybe you can call them and ask whether they have experience class for free

Hi Berenice- my name is Ronald.  I teach Wing Chun kungfu at Shekou near the Rose Garden estates on Sundays 11:00-12:30.  We train at the Qing Qing Bodybuilding Gym on Gon Yuen Nan Lu(above the A Best Supermarket), very near the front entrance of the Rose Garden Estate.  While it is not yoga it is a martial art without fancy flying kicks.  While it is 350 years old Wing Chun was made popular by the late Bruce Lee as a practical fighting system.  It invigorates the whole body without the hard effort of some of the other chinese martial arts.  You can speak to me on: 132 4060 9948.  Looking forward to seeing you soon.

hey, this sounds really interesting. Do I have to be a member of that gym to participate?
You do not have to be a member of the gym.  You are taught by me personally and you pay me.  It is a dedicated class exclusively for Wing Chun.  You spend the whole lesson taught by me with my students.  I have a website at: www. evergreenwingchun.com.  Hope to see you on Sunday.
Ok then how much are classes and also, do I need to know a lot of Chinese to follow the movements or can I just watch and imitate?
