looking for Prototype/Samples Builder and CNC machinist
TRIATORIS International Design Studio, based in SHENZHEN, looking for Prototype/Samples Builder and CNC machinist in the development of Design Prototype Modelling and Working Samples. Knowledge of technological advancements in materials and processes and a strong ability to propose.
Job Description:
The position will entail being the driving force behind build-out and equipping of the prototyping shop along with hiring the right team as the work flow demands. Experienced model maker, is extremely hands-on, and has advanced CNC and manual machining skills. Experience in all aspects of prototyping, painting and finishing.
Use modern CAD/CAM software (Pro/Engineer preferred), set-up and operate CNC machines and lathes. Conversational knowledge of G-Code
Work with tolerances of +/- .15mm in most cases with less frequent requirements of +/-.01mm Set up and operate manual metalworking machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders and saws to machine parts to specification
Finish, deburr, and clean parts as required
Requirements include:
Minimum of 5 years studio engineering / engineering related experience.
Comprehensive understanding of milling, turning, knurling, broaching, grinding, cutting, etc. and detailed functional knowledge of most common machine shop tools and machines, including woodworking tools.
Understanding of steel, aluminium, component plastic and epoxy resin, ceramic, glass, wood carbon and other modelling material treatment. Experience in material fabrication (folded, stamped, machined and cast steel parts) and production processes (injection, in-mold laminates, blow molding, component plastic, carbon and ceramic materials surface treatment: milling, gluing, painting, polishing, welding etc.)
Basic understanding of Craftsmanship and application to product
Planning and coordination of outsource engineering activities.
Mentor additional model making employees as needed to build the team.
