Comment by Dmitriy Doroshenko on February 7, 2012 at 2:26pm So 2 games on thursday... More people to see. Good, i think i'll be there at least to see it :)
Dmitriy, bring it on!!! Hahaha
Ben and me will be playing on Minghua Court, Thursday 8 pm.
Comment by Dmitriy Doroshenko on February 7, 2012 at 11:19am Christian, i definitely gonna challenge you again :))
It is a good suggestion to get a ladder session. We can do it connected to the internet, and also just write down the games as them self, make some king of tournament.
It would be good to have it, but i think its gonna be hard to find the day when everyone can be free.
May be some saturday or sunday, so the whole day can be free.
And we need a place with at least 3 courts i think... Apparently i know the one - in Futian. Cause i think it will be hard in Mighua, due to the fact that the court are on the different levels, in Futian - there are 3 courts, and all on the same level, place one by one beside one to another.
So, what do you people think?
I suggest that ppl that are already challenged post here when and where they are going to play their match, so we can try to combine as many as possible on the same place and time.
And Ben, I just challenged you, just let me know when and where.
Comment by Ben Swainson on February 7, 2012 at 10:27am Hi guys. I could see how some people may find it weird meeting and playing with people they have never met.
A one-day ladder session is a good idea. The only issue may be getting a day that is suitable for everyone but I guess we could work around that problem somehow. We could also just have a night out in a restaurant and meet everyone that way.
Incidentally, I am in second place and am rubbish at squash so second place is up for grabs! Just need a challenger...
Comment by Simon Says on February 6, 2012 at 11:07pm Hi Christian! Glad that you had a good game! I think the first time you meet someone might be a little strange, but after a couple of months, everyone should be quite familiar.
That said, I do agree that it would be great to have a "ladder session" one day, where we can all get together, book a couple of courts and play a few games, live with a computer hooked up to the internet. We can challenge and register results there and then. Should settle down some of the rankings too!
So, we played tonite and, I do not know how, I won. Dmitry is definitely an AWESOME coach!
However, I think that challenging ppl that you never met is weird. I suggested that we try to pool all the challenges one day of the week on the same place, so we can get to meet other members of the ladder while we play.
Comment by Simon Says on February 6, 2012 at 5:10pm Look forward to seeing the first result posted! I am playing Keith on Thursday...
Playing Dmitry tonite...
