Hi Carol, I hope all is well with your life! If you say "thanks but no thanks" it means I appreciate the intention of helping but I do not need help or do not believe the advice is helpful. I would agree with the European leaders, if US leaders tried to tell me how to many an economic situation I also would say "thanks but not thanks.
