Do you know Lotus hill park near shenzhen central library? There used to be a place for people to fly kites.
now that place has been turned into a park in the park, seemingly show-casing a tree that someone recently planted ( I am not a fan of that, by the way).
To its left, further in, tucked in among the hills is a big space, which I feel might be a good place for building shenzhen's version of the Waldbuhne.
though might sound patronizing, have to say shenzhen people may not have that similar taste to sustain a steady stream of good musical events all year around. ( that just proves Berlin is a unique place, even among major european citie I guess) . currently they have the central concert hall to hold the events from time to time. But one can hardly see people's enthusiasm from there. hardly has any advertising effect for good music.
Unfortunately mostly things get done here thru official channels. if they really open culture things up, good things will flourish.
One thing though - shenzhen might have more mosquitos in open during summer night.

- Hi Erell, how are you? wonderful that you know both German and French.
My daughter and I have been learning German and French. I have got many German & French cartoons ( eg. Barbapapa) and documentary movies but I have yet to learn the language in order to understand them. Are you free on sundays to do a language exchange? I've got Chinese materials too. Cheers! Paul
