Residence Registration: My Experience

I recently went through the process of registering my residence.
In my case (Gangxia area) it was pretty simple.
WARNING: This was the procedure in my area. Yours may differ. Taking along a Chinese-speaking friend is advised. You may also want to be prepared to return home for something not on this list.

Well, tie me kangaroo down, sports, and waltz me Matilda, if it ain't ANZAC Day again.
The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shenzhen is hosting a commemorative event with the traditional feast of pizza, wine, and beer (guess they couldn't find any Vegemite). You can read more about this on Shenzhen Buzz.

Yes, it is my sad duty to report the impending closure of what has become my favorite restaurant in Shenzhen.
Cowboy's Coffee and the Buffalo Grill will be closing in "1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks" according to the owner.
Already, some of our favorites (that MILKSHAKE!) are off the menu. When they run out of veg patties, no more veg burgers.
So get in there and get a taste of the old west while you can. And bring your friends, to help some nice people reduce their… Continue
