About Me:
I am a mainland Chinese, mother of two small kids. I like reading, dancing. I moved back to Shenzhen from Germany in 2007 with my family and just started to enjoy the life here since late 2008 when I set up a book club where some friends and I can discuss books that we like and eat the food that we make.

I'm a volunteer of Half the Sky Foundation (www.halfthesky.org) which has been helping Chinese orphans since 1998 and is one of the most successful foreign NGOs in China.

In term of my job, are you interested in learning Chinese in a structured manner without taking the fun out of it? Just contact me to set up a flexible, personalized study schedule for you to meet your individual language proficiency goals. I graduated with a degree in international trade and worked as a marketing manager and school director of English First. Upon marriage to a German, I spent over 5 years in Germany, where I set up and ran a German/Chinese social club (www.chinamama.de) and attained German university level language proficiency.

As freelance author, I contribute articles to German and Chinese magazines.

Thanks for the encouragement, I guess that's the key, finding the right language resources to support your learning. I've been really lazy with writing and have good books on that so concentrating on that for a while is probably a good idea and will really help my reading too.
