Since bringing up the ghost question, I have to ask you --- Do you believe there is life out in space? Do you think it is conceivable, that we are not alone in this universe and that there are others out there somewhere? If so, why haven't they come and said hello to us?

In China, one set of books has outlasted all of the others on the shelf (it seems) - The New Concept English books. Most Chinese who are studying English are very familiar with these books. Lesson 1 -- "Excuse me, is this your handbag? Pardon? Is this your handbag? Yes, it is."

I have been teaching English in SZ now for over three years and I am curious to know the honest answer to the age old question. Which do feel is a better English to learn and why? Some of my students tell me that they prefer to learn American English (some because they think that's what I want to hear) because it is easier, more casual, etc. Some tell me that they want to learn the British English because they feel it is more proper, better for business in HK and Europe,…
