I spent a year and a half in England for my Master degree. It was an unforgettable experience. During that period of time, I made a lot of friends from all over the world and travelled some places in Britain. From the very north of Scotland to the very south of England, then from the border of Wales in the west and to the east of my studying place. Besides, I went to France and Netherland for a personal adventure on my own. ^_^

Reaction to the trivial earthquake last Friday

Last Friday there was a slight earthquake at 2.8 magnitude with the epicentre in Shenzhen Bay.Some people in Futian or Luohu didn't even feel it. Since I'm working in a five floor office building at Shekou, which is close to the Shenzhen Bay, my coworkers and I strongly felt the shaking that afternoon.

The weather is so changable recently that many friends around me caught cold more or less. Personally I got fever at 39.6C last Thursday. The doctor was shock when he saw the temperature testing result since I was talking to him so consciously. He didn't believe the result at the first time until he got the second confirmed result. Probably he thought people who got so high fever should be dizzy or talk nonsense. haha... I guess I was an exception!

I went to join a camping at a beach with my church friends over the National Holiday.
It was totally new experience for me to stay over night in a tent. Honestly speaking, I didn't have a good sleep at all. In the first half of that night, everyone was pretty high. There were many people at the beach. Some of them were at their needfire party, and others were flying a kind of lamp, Kongming Deng. We were enjoying the firework.

Have you ever swum in the rain before? I tried indeed yesterday. It was good. Fewer people in the pool and cleaner water as well. Actually I didn't intend to do it. I just happened to be in the rain when swimming.
A woman told me that it was raining in the closet room when I put my swimming coat on. Honestly speaking I considered to give up but all of sudden I just thought that I'm going to be wet completely anyway, so why not swimming? You know that sometimes you just spoil…

I committed my words by inviting my new neighour, Rae, to have a spaghetti with me last Friday evening. The sauce was tomato with onions and some other sauce bought in Walmart. My previous cooking experience of spaghetti contributed to the final success.
Regardless of Italian spaghetti, we had a bit red wine, which was great with the main course. After that I made some Indian red tea, actually bought from Sri Lanka, for my guest. The taste reminded me some British tea.…
