who is the girl on your right, is your friend? anyway, welcome here~!
The only difference between weekdays and weekends for me in the UK is that my son Chris [see pictures on My Page] is at home instead of at school. I don't work here, I just rest, shop, cook, etc.
Your activities sound absolutely normal for SZ- you are lucky to have friends here to do things with. Many people come to SZ with virtually none and have a hard time of it at first - I'm sure that you will be kind to anyone who is lonely. Apart from talking to each other, this site will give you more chance to actually meet new people and do new things.
It has worked very well for me since I joined in April. I always found it fairly easy to meet people, but the language was always a problem. I first came to SZ in 2003 and tried very hard to learn Putonghua, but failed. Now I can have English-speaking dinner companions as often as like. It is great to meet such interesting, friendly people. I like SZ, I like China and I like Chinese people - but girls talk far more than boys, so most of my friends are girl friends, but not girlfriends.
Too many people work too hard in SZ, but that's why they came to SZ in the first place. If you're young and ambitious you have to be in SZ or SH to build your career. How do you relax after work? What sort of things do you like to do? On weekdays I just read a book and have a meal in a restaurant, but at weekends I like to go to a music bar near my flat near Huaqiangbei Lu.
Have a chat with any of these guys, they're very friendly.
