Hi, got your comment. TakeOut Comedy was started by Jami Gong in Hongkong, has English and Cantonese. (www.takeoutcomedy.com) They will come to Shenzhen for a show in May.

We brought it into Shenzhen and founded a Mandarin stand-up comedy training club.

Weekly event is on every Thursday: http://www.douban.com/event/16253486/

Mandarin stand-up comedy show: http://www.douban.com/event/15826473/

yep - nothing standardized though - usually have to put together an ad-hoc service contract. Do you have a phone number I could contact you on? We can chat about it briefly!

actually yes they can prove they are a good teacher in less than 2 yrs. how to determine this? set up a system where you evaluate them. Set up different criteria. You are expert teachers, surely your team know how to evaluate this. Yes you have a system, maybe it is great. I think the great teacher needs to follow a system yes, but also needs to be creative, and can think outside the box, quick on their feet, have good physcological analyzing skills. I think if a teacher can attract new students, keep them, and those students do well on the tests you give them, than as long as they are meeting these requirements they are the great teachers. You are right, no one can be all things, and I do not know your situation, its none of my business. I will say this though, the big training centers that are charging students 100 to 200 rmb an hour should be paying about 30k a month. Why should even a mediocre teacher, accept job for places like Global English, Pattison English, Ef, Wall Street, New Oriental, and all those other places, when they are getting rich because of us. Yes, I know you want great teachers, and you high standards, and I respect you for this. Some of the good teachers are not always interested in the money, they would be willing to work for smaller companies who can not pay them the 20k. Some would even teach for free to the poor who can not afford lessons. They can accept less, if they know the company is not getting rich of them. It not about the money its the standard. Even, if I am mediocre or just so so, I do not want to do corporate training for a company that is only paying me 200 to 300 an hour, if they are charging their clients 1000 to 4000 rmb an hour. That is ripping us off.

Hello I seen your add on the designers group. I am not a desinger so I will tell you I am right now, I am not qualified for that job.  However, I do have friends who are.  Would you mind telling me, what exactly you are wanting to do with this online store.  I can give them you ideas.   Also, there are in fact many good teachers in Shenzhen.  I find the best way to find them is to offer them a fair salary,, with opportunities for quick advancement.  Westerners come from a capitialists mindset like your boss.  Many of them dont just like a salary.   They like a good system built with bonuses and incentives.  I do agree, people should not be rewarded for failure or mediocrity.  That is why I never suggests companies offering salaries that are way above the industry standard.  It seems for Shenzhen 12k to 15k for a training center is a fair salary.   With incentives, that gives them an opportunity to earn between 20k to 30 k in two years, I am confident you will attract the right people.  Also good teachers and professionals look for places that offer fairness, that have high standards, that look for partners or bosses who take interest in their lives.  They also look for places were they can contribute to a team.  Where the ideas  and suggestions can be heard.  I think it all begins with the bosses and leadership of the companies,.  When the bosses, management team, and other leaders set high standards, permote unity, fairness, vision, professionalism, ethics, and great incentive programs, by default they will attract the industries bests and brightests.  I am not saying your company is not doing this now.  This just been my experience and observation of what does work.  I am sure their are ideas available that I have not mentioned.  After all, I am not a know it all.
