I am in Shenzhen over half the year and most of the other half is spent in Worcester, UK, where I am now. He is still at high school here and has decided to start learning Chinese once he has a choice of foreign languages, which won't be until next school year. Right now he has to study French. What are you studying at Shenda?
He was 12 when he was here in the summer, but he's a real teenager now. If you keep talking to me until next summer you may get a chance to meet him, though I'm sure that we won't be going to Guangxi again next year. We haven't decided where to go yet.
You were not the only one. It seemed that everyone in China thought he was a girl, even when he was wearing what were clearly boys clothes. He didn't mind at all and found it quite amusing. As with the Shenjinbing t-shirt he likes the attention.
Thanks for looking at my Yunnan pictures - even if you did call my son a "cute girl". I see that you're from Guangxi. If you look at this album, you'll see their photos taken in Guilin and Yangshuo the year before.
