« Lion-Eating Poet in the Stone Den »

In a stone den was a poet Shi, who was a lion addict, and had resolved to eat ten.

He often went to the market to look for lions.

At ten o'clock, ten lions had just arrived at the market.

At that time, Shi had… Continue

I was in McDonalds yesterday. There were two foriegners in front of me in line, a man and a woman, Americans I guess. They were trying to pay for their food with American money. Of course, the manager couldn't accept it.

Then I saw them a few minutes later trying to use the bank machine but it wouldn't / couldn't show English on the screen. I told them that they should go to a bank to exchange their money because in China, you're not allowed to use other kinds of… Continue

This is pure genius.

So simple and so fun. For all these Grow games, you just click on things and try to help the sick guy get better or the hero defeat the dragon or whatever. The order you click on the things is what matters.

But winning isn't even… Continue

Bored at work, wishing you could build your own city? I heartily recommend Tribal Wars.

"Killing Them Softly" is a classic right up there with Eddie Murphy "Raw" old Richard Pryor, Red Fox. I added probably 20 videos to my favorites on youtube last night to go with all my Japanese AV star videos :). And yes, without youtube, I don't know what'd I would do to stay sane.

Just tell the girls you're like Buddha and if they rub your belly they will get good luck. It might work unless the girls don't believe in Buddha or luck or both....

I watched those Def Comedy Jam clips I posted on my blog for like 3-4 hours last night. I ended up forgetting to eat and had PBandJ for dinner...felt like I was back in college pulling an all nighter. Probably do the same thing today.

Hi Jack,

Yes, I do it myself quite frequently. Mind you, it fequently goes right over the heads of the Chinese girls.

It certainly goes back way before the Pythons - music hall from the 50s are my earliest memories, and the radio series such as "Round the Horne" and "I'm Sorry I'll Read that Again" from the early 60s.

Did you ever watch the BBC TV series "Coupling"? If the person currently watching the DVDs will pass them on to Jaris, then you can be next in line.

I used to read your books about 45 years ago. I'm usually the first to spot the double-entendre around here and I'm really pissed off to have said that accidentally.

Glad you appreciate "Martin" like I do. My friend has the first season on DVD but he had to go all the way to Hong Kong to get it.
