what a good idea! I am 100% on this. I was trying gether a 2nd DVD garage sale last year, but it was not easy to get everybody together...
what a shame... i went there quite late anyway, picked up a couple of DVDs and ran away... maybe next time when we all go on to that 'big' trip to that Huang Qiang Bei private store....
there are two private ones in Huaqiangbei to my knowledge. one is still there, not sure about the other one.
There's a chance I might run into you in Dongmen Karl:) I am going as well today, but after work.

- Hi elean ( I suppose this is your name:), I went to Dongmeng today, sometimes it is a little bit disappointed. May I ask if you have got these two DVDs( I haven't found them on the taobao shop you recommand yet).
"Das Boot" (the more than 300 mins version), and "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrance" ( or any movie with David Bowie, after I watched "the Man Fell On Earth", I seriously feel he is rather out-shined by the fame of a super rock star than a super excellent actor . Now I try to get all his movies. I will be so glad if you got any of them.:)))

- Oh i see, what a pitty!!:(( The dongmeng one sells more mainstream, but I guess that is better than none. Sometimes they have some very good classic old choices, but not often. I go there quite often, maybe we could meet up at sometime.:) By they way, what is your job "CAC" means?

- Hi magictrics, I just happen to read the posts in the "DVD Exchange" group. May I ask for the address of the private dvd shop in Huaqianbei? From your post I guess it is in some buildings near the Jiahua foreign trade market. Do you have contact number of the shop owner? I am a big fan of movies. But for searching old moives dongmeng seems not the perfect place to go. I have a few old moives want to get them. So thanks a lot in advance!
