Just returned from my trip to Vietnam and thought that I'd put up an account before I have forgotten most details, haha!
Well, first of all I must mention that Lunar New Year is NOT a good time to travel to Vietnam (unless you wish to see some of the celebrations, of course). The thing is that over there it is also a very important festival and practically EVERYTHING shuts down for at least three days. Some places (just outside central Ho Chi Minh, for instance) become like ghost…

It was advertised that the devil was going to put his tools up for sale. On the date of the sale, the tools were placed for public inspection; each tool being marked with its sale price.
They were a treacherous lot of implements...
Hatred, Envy, Jealousy, Deceit, Lying, Pride, and so on.
Laid apart from the rest was a harmless looking tool, that appeared to have been heavily used, and was priced very high.
"What is the name of this tool?" asked one of the…

I miss holding your hand down the street
I miss slipping my hand into your back pocket for a sneaky grab
I miss you slipping your hand into my back pocket for a sneaky grab
I miss going on spontaneous drives around the country with you
I miss your massages
I miss how your arm fits perfectly into the groove of my neck for a perfect pillow
I miss eating a whole tub of ice cream with you after a fat joint
I miss the way you make me laugh till I cry
I miss…

I had a great New Year's eve party thanks to the people at C:Union, met lots of interesting people, ate (and ate and ate...), watched fireworks, drank (...and drank and drank) and returned home weary and moneyless at circa 5am. Not quite sure what I should be doing today though, I guess Chinese families cook, eat and recover from the night before?
How did you spend new years eve? Was it your first in China? How did it compare to the New Year at home if you're a laowai, or how was it…

For those of you who follow what I add to my page in the line of music. You will see that the other day I added some tunes by a band called Blitzen Trapper. To say I added these songs because I like them is an understatement. Since I have received Furr, the latest set from this sextet from Portland Oregon. I have listened to very little else, so I thought I would share some of the better tunes from this set with you. I have never been one to conform to the mundane songs of the general public…

Today is the last and the final day of the Year of Rat for all Chinese people, it was really a mixed feeling for most of the Chinese.
Started with the freezing unexpected lower temperature in Jan., earthquake in May and the finance tsunami further weakening almost all sectors and seem to have no end yet. Obviously the "Rat" did not bring us a brilliant 2008 but
repeated a Dark Age !
Well I believe the end of the dark tunnel is not far to arrive and what we need together is a…

I think it's another one good movie after "america beauty" by Menders, and I can understand what April wants in the bored marriage life...it's not only Frank's problems......actually it's nothing to do with"paris", they just want some changes.....
everyone has dream, never ever give up it, I can image how suffering it is when you can not live for it. But how many people can live like this way ? It's all about choice...........Try to like what you are working at or go to do what you are…

Another one hit wonder Icon has hit the bricks. This time it is Boy George who will spend some time behind bars. Boy George for those of you who don’t know him was the one time front man for the Culture Club, the new-wave-pop band that hit the charts in the 80’s with “Do you really Want to Hurt me” and the club mainstay “The church of the poison Mind”. Boy, having spent the last decade, or two DJ’ing in his home town, Liverpool UK. He hit the bricks this time by holding a male escort hostage…

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds: "What does love mean?"
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think...
_____
"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca - age 8
_____
"When someone…

What do you think about marriage when you see the friends next you to marry? Lot of friends around me got divorced and meanwhile, some others marry one by one....what's the meaning of marriage? I am so confused about it sometimes, then i try to find the answer from the book, real life....then below are from Laura Dfefferle, On Marriage-Lessons from a work-in-progress, I think it's good to share.......and I like it.

I feel as artists get old they start to lose their creativity. Not all artists but for the most part there are slumps of creative activity in many of the greatest stars. This is when I start to lose interest in the artists. I started thinking about this shortly after I listened to Johnny Cash’s American Recordings now for those of you who know who Johnny Cash is you will understand that he was one of the truly greatest singer song writers of our time. His songs told stories that the average…

My lover is soft and sexy
My lover is harsh and threatening
My lover is full of life and romance
My lover will wrap herself around me
My lover entices me always
My lover is sometimes happy and sometimes sad
My lover fills my head with ideas and emotions
My lover never asks me for more but always gives me what I need
My lover surrounds me with love and life
My lover pierces my heart with daggers
My lover takes me places with soft tones and…
