After my fantastic charity bake sale for “Room to read” was it now time to run the 40 km Moontrekker on Lantau Island to complete the whole event.
Lantau Island with its beautiful trails and fishing villages is the perfect place for trail running and hiking and with one of the highest mountains in Hong Kong, the Lantau peak (938 m) also quite a challenge.
I started at 9 pm, from Mui Wo and to beat the sun and arrive Cheung Sha Beach before the sunrise at 6.21 am, in between…Continue

if we had same experience. Oh no, luckily not. But this is a very safe and secure residence complex, where does the thief
come from? I had my bank card on the table as usual. Not sure if I want to imagine the story...
Today is a good day. I am better off enjoying some nice songs and sunshine, and go shopping with mom in the afternoon.

Anyone that has been to Thailand knows there is a chain of grocery stores called Topps which carry an excellent range of groceries as well as have pretty good food courts. One Topps in particular here in Chiang Mai has a very good food court, that is easy on the wallet and offers many kinds of food. Today, the fiancee and I were there eating, the place was pretty full considering it was lunch time, but still had a few open tables. As we were eating we heard what sounded like a whole…Continue

Any errant student could have anywhere from 2-4 points deducted from her final grade. In a culture where students spend all of their education years studying for one test where competition…Continue

Dedicated to the memory of Freddy Mercury who would have celebrated his 67th birthday last month. While a true superstar and legend of rock he was often a deeply troubled figure in private. It was always hard for me to imagine from his stage performances just how shy and isolated he often felt off stage. He gave so much to us, and his dedication to his art and his audience will never be…Continue
We all know one, five - or even a whole forum/room full. They exist, they breed (sadly) and more importantly spend so much damn time on the internet. Why is that? It was theorized by an Australian friend of mine that morons spend so much time in 'cyberspace' because in 'real space' they'd just end up getting the slap they so rightly deserve. Maybe, I don't know.…
