Huge American-style Outlet Mall in Dameisha

Did you know there was a huge outlet mall in Dameisha?  Includes GAP, Mark Jacobs, Max & Co, Espirit, Nike, New Balance, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Ecco, Columbia, Levi's, and a bazillion other places.  It's very close to the Sheraton Dameisha Hotel.  You can see some more photos, get directions, and see the store directory…

The hill of Lycabettus is the highest peak of Athens, which overlooks the capital from 280 meters. Suitably it is considered as one of the most romantic places while it certainly stands out for its panoramic view of the beautiful city. The most beautiful images fill the eyes of every visitor, facing the Acropolis to Piraeus and the Saronic Gulf. Pine trees cover its base and its peak is the 19th century Chapel of st.George. The hill also has a large open-air theater at the top, which has…

Happy Thanksgiving, 7th Year

I have posted this blog on SZS for Thanksgiving 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and now 2014.  Yes, I am sure you are bored by it now.  Too bad, it is coming again in 2015!  :-)

It is not about the pilgrims, the founding of America, sharing between Indians and Europeans or any other silly thing we learned in school, it is about appreciating your life.

I am thankful for:

being alive, it all starts with that

that I have 2 legs, 2 arms and…

In Rock we Trust its Rock or Bust

Hey yeah

Are you ready

We be a guitar band

We play across the land

Shootin' out tonight

Gonna keep you up alright

You hear the guitar sound

Playin' nice and loud

Rock you to your knees

Gonna make your destiny

In rock we trust, it's rock or bust

In rock we trust, it's rock or bust

In rock we trust, it's rock or bust

In rock n' roll we trust, it's rock or bust…

Looking at this I began to wonder how my life timeline looks like. Thanks to Anna Vital of F&F I now have another personal project I'd like done before my birthday in 2015. It's easy drawing this graphic, what's going to be challenging will be the events and connecting the dots in my life.…

I can help you buy the movie ticket

Hello everyone, did you like watch movie? I like to go cinema very much! The 《Interstellar》is very good! The《Move Maze》is just so so. Some Chinese Gongfu 3D movie is amazing.

The ticket I brought from Taobao is much more cheaper, like 50-40% off from the door! I go to cinema 1-2 times per week.

If you like, you can ask me to help you buy ticket in Shenzhen,no extra charge, but must be trust-worth friends.

A Style I Really Like

I was re-reading some Saki short stories last night - I really like his sense of humour. He died in the front line during the First World War - his final words  - Put that bloody cigarette out! before being shot by a German sniper who'd heard the remark. Some quotations:

We all know that Prime Ministers are wedded to the truth, but like other married couples they sometimes live apart

Reginald in his wildest lapses into veracity never admits to being more…

Life is good when many things become luxury

Life is truly much better when many things became luxury.

When you don't have enough time. And still make time for the ones that you care.

When you don't have enough money. And still spend the money on the things that you really like.

When you only have 9% battery left and still trying to write this blog on a silly website just because you still feel some connection with it.

I printed all my papers to read so no battery is going to be fine for today. No more DMD…

The Trials & Tribulations of Apartment Hunting 1

Hi all!

We know Shenzhen is an awesome place; it has people from all over China and the world!  It also springs special language and culture pitfalls on you at the strangest times!

While living here a decade, I was blessed with a great Chinese friend, who found me apartments whenever I needed and/or wanted a change.  I didn’t get how much trouble she saved me from, until I started to work with her as a real estate agent, or estate agent for all your Brits.  Yes, I know the…
