Beginnings and Endings

Bang! goes nothing, and here I am

Is this really how things began?

Is it all accident, is it all random

therefore all reason I should abandon?

From nothing comes something how can this be

Without a designer who created me?

Because in everything I plan and agree

Design and purpose is clear to see

There must be someone behind all this

It's God of course! how could I miss?

It's obvious and I should know

because my reason tells me so

God also tells me in the Bible

And for this reason I am liable

What is that thing then called the will

Does all of this add up to nill?

How is it then that I should say

It can't be thus, it must be nay

If I thus say and believe a lie

The end thereof is I will die

Without God, and Bang, vanish into oblivion
