True...True...

Whereas I think Carlin rambled sometimes, and would go a few minutes without being funny.

I definitely remember such moments watching Carlin. Then again, I was tired and sleepy so...who knows. Personally, I stop and watch/try anything I'm told is "Comedy".

Well, it's unlikely that he'll ever do anything as epochal as "The Seven Words You Can't Say On Television," let alone Richard Pryor's best stuff.

But there's a scene in "Amadeus" in which Salieri says of Mozart's music: "remove one phrase and the structure would fall." If you remove one sentence, or even one word, from one of Louis CK's best shows, the whole thing would be diminished. Whereas I think Carlin rambled sometimes, and would go a few minutes without being funny.

But speaking of Louis CK on the radio, he's also been funny when he's appeared on the Opie and Anthony Show.

Oh and about the sex tape debacle: he talked about on 'Fresh Air' (NPR) with T. Gross...but that was, like 2010 I think...Don't really remember that discussion though. I was cleaning and listening at the time...

Good to know you like him too though I'd respectfully disagree with the George Carlin bit. Carlin exuded a lot of confidence. But CK's approach, while natural, is somewhat coy. And it works! Which is what matters isn't it.

I first learned about him when Chris Rock revealed he's "the white friend" he's talking about when he told a joke in the 90s about a white friend who admitted "he's loving this white sh*t" and prefers to keep it that way. It was funny. And that joke sounds the same as the one above. So they both go way back when he (CK) used to write for him.

He's my favourite comedian. People say he's carrying the torch from George Carlin, but I think he's funnier.

There's also a good Youtube clip in which he gets interviewed about a prospective sex tape, although it might have been taken down by now.
