Shenzhen Stuff

I woke early on Saturday morning and went out on my balcony. This is what I saw - dawn approaching over Wutong, with the moon in the middle of the picture and the planet Venus near the top.

Thanks, I am just a HK resident at the moment, but it is good to know that I might be able to get a 3 year L visa in the future.

Ye, my L visa in multiple entry. There seem to be different versions of L visa - so US passports can get ten years, my UK passport in HK where I'm a Permanent Resident (I don't know if that affects things) is three years with 30 days per entry. However my son, applying in the UK gets two years with 90 days per entry. The 30 days doesn't often affect me as I go to HK most weeks for meetings or shopping.

Is the L visa multiple entry? My Q2 is multiple entry, 180 per stay

Hi. I don't work in China, I just live here and do a little bit of work in HK. I just have an L visa, which was recommended by the nice visa officer in the Chinese visa place in Wanchai. I had as supporting documents plenty of Temporary Residence registrations to show I was doing that plus copies of my HK and US bank statements, to show I didn't need to work.
It lasts three years but only 30 days per entry, which is generally OK but limited the time I could spend on our Silk Road trip.

Can I ask which visa you get to live in China long-term? I currently have a Q2 but I was wondering what other visas are available.
