Don't know how many times he jelled unreasonably to me. 20minutes ago, I called my manager from the meeting room. I told him it's for an overseas call. The chinese guy yelled to me again:" just ask him 2 minutes, that's ok. what the hell are you doing? why you said so much? you don't respect the customers enough!." I replied him“ if I did wrong, if I don't understand business etiquette, you could teach me. you don't need to yell to me and get so much angry with me."
Most of my colleagues have such feeling: this chinese guy always shows his smile on his face to foreigners, but he's really not friendly enough to his chinese colleagues. I respect each person, no matter where they are from. Nothing special with foreigners. All of them have 2 eyes, 1 nose, 1 mouth like us. The unique difference is that they don't speak chinese. I really can not understand those ppl.

Well, David, your idea is one of them, but a tiny one, for me, I mean how many Chinese ppl ever talk to a foreigner in their lives, not even mention get along with one. The fact that most of the Chinese ppl are nicer to foreigners than to their compatriots is quite obvious. Some Chinese ppl like making friends with foreingers because they want to learn something like culture, language. Some Chinese ppl are just totally suckers for foreingers. In their world, they even consider the foreigner's fart smells good, well that is just a metaphor. I mean they just assume everything about a foreigner is percet, even they've never met one.
Comment by Mysterion on April 12, 2011 at 1:34pm That's so true.
This happens everywhere, I remember clearly that I had a dinner in a Chinese restaurant when I visited NY, I gave the waitress 5 dollars for tip, she was still not happy about that. But she smiled ear to ear to a western couple who only gave her 1.
Dear friends, thanks for all your replies to this bog. After re-reading my text, I think my description is not clear enough and maybe it makes some of you misunderstanding the details. But I don't want to modify it.
Since I already leave it behind. When I don't feel good, I think I have to speak it out. Then after, it seems nothing happened. Thanks for all your guys' good advices!
So, end of the story.
Hi Raymond, your words remind me of a chinese saying. "上梁不正下梁歪?". Hehe~~
Maybe I should change the word "hate" to "dislike". I don't hate anybody, but it's true that someone's words or behavior really make me feel not good.
The good thing is that my foreinger boss, foreigner colleagues are very nice with us. and all the other Chinese colleagues go well with each other as well.
Comment by Nemes Ioan Sorin on April 11, 2011 at 5:38pm She's right,
she don't hate anybody, she just ask herself why all peoples have the same number of components but some of them receive a better treatment.
I'm foreigner and I dismiss her manager behavior.
Usually in Europe we send those guys back in school.
For me - he's unprepared. Only peoples with half manners and education act this way.
In trade area - if you are good, you MUST be human.
This is the 1'st rule of good PR peoples.
Being rude = no excuse, especially in PR.
Better to go and sell shoes to the border of the city...
