I Was Here. So Were You. What'd You CHOOSE To Do?

Global Citizens for World Humanitarian Day

D E D I C A T E D    TO    D I A N A

○ ○ ○

Cynicism is easy. So is ingratitude, bias & selective memory. On World Humanitarian Day

(August 19, 2012) when we were supposed to be celebrating & reflecting on the laborious, dangerous and thankless career we call humanitarian work, I saw horribly abusive trolling

directed at both Beyoncé & her husband Shawn Corey Carter (aka, Jay-Z). I come from

a family of humanitarians. My aunt for example, who has been trotting the globe doing

good work for the United Nations for decades since I was just a little boy. From rela

-tives and family friends who worked for WIPO & the UNDP right down to the fami

lial level where WE learned by doingnot professing — selfless acts, the impe-

rative consistent directive has been: always leave a place, people or this world

much better than you found it. It makes no difference whether you're behind

a computer, or physically in Cambodia, Mali, Sudan, Haiti, North Korea or D

R Congo. If your moral calculus, presence, relationships, motives, actions,

inactions and happiness is self-centered rather than bold, verifiable or if

& when necessary, controversial, then you're just wasting both time &

precious life. As my great mentor, Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop

Desmond Tutu uncompromisingly says: “If you're neutral in situations

of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.” There's a

time for learning, writing, being in 'writing mode' and most impor

-tantly, a time for doing. And I've found that it's the doing bit

that makes some supremely confident but human risk takers.

And yet, the oft overlooked dimension and extension here

is: actual experience of engaging in positive ideas, causes

and organizations whether through collaboration, commu

-nication, genuinely verifiable interest in transcending a

deceptively ostentatious and donnish understanding of

'the human condition' together with a love of inter

cultural literacy, are great ways to boost authent

-ic social and communciation skills. The less con-

cerned one is with scoring popularity points or

going online purposely to benefit from others

& more with selflessly giving the world, we

stand a better chance. “I've learned”, said

my mentor Dr. Maya Angelou, that you

shouldn't go through life with a catch-

er's mitt on both hands; you need to

be able to throw something back”.

And that something needn't be a

revolutionary breakthrough or

Oscar-worthy. Simply pause,

and ask yourself like Oskar

Schindler does in regret:

Could you/I have done

more with the life &

luxury (in this case)

of owning/having

a computer? Did

you? Will you,

now that you

know a bit

better?

Emotions, Emotions...Emotions...

The Blog, which the sophisticated mechanism of reading, thinking critically & NOT childishly assuming everything on the web is about/was created for you, makes clear (is dedicated to "Diana") ... is about:

1) World Humanitarian Day,

2) The United Nations,

3) Humanitarianism &

4) Other POSITIVE & DO-able big ideas.

Not about small-minded vitriol, and aggressive logically incoherent trolling on a fine Wednesday morning that fizzles like every fad on the Social web;-) after Discussions & Much-Ado About Nothing blogs have come & gone.

If you don't like something, avoid it.

The problem is it is so hard to avoid your blogs, they are like the big trash can painted with colorful nude urgly bodies that so obviously and brudely displayed along the street for a mile long under the bright lovely sunlight. They just HURT EYES.

But it is a specialty of SZS. Keep it up, I will send you a greeting card when your reach 1000 post, writing: Congrats that you made the record:  reached 1000 blogs post with only 1% of them were actually read.

By the way, my internet connection is much better than StaRRR BaRRRKs

You're invited to bring your laptop or simply come and experience the beautiful web the way it's supposed to be enjoyed. All you have to do is ask, and come with pure motives...

Have a great day! And take it light.

Aiyah...Women. Inexperienced Stuffers

No answer is going to satisfy her. My last name is Fancy. My first name is So. Ke yi ma?

Have you heard of MIT before? I suggest you visit MIT's website once as day for one year.

And your thinking will change. People think the way you think because they don't know what the rest of the web looks like, what a computer really stands for, how to use it, how to make a computer work for you, your eyes; what a blog really is, and how to consume or search for information. It is, in other words, a kind of ignorance. Or more specifically:

2-Dimensional Thinking is for a Bygone Era: The 20th Century

There's no need to like my blogs, sweetheart. I'm not interested in hookers so you'll never find me in a whorehouse. Same thing. There's no need to like my blogs, like, or even know me to click on my blogs. If you don't like something, avoid it. That's common sense, isn't it?

3-Dimensional & Extra Dimensional Thinking & Problem Solving

I've been here forever and over 400 blogs later it should be obvious to you I don't blog for people inside any box, city or country. Once your paradigm or way of thinking, seeing the world, understanding the world, and understanding the web SHIFTS to looking for powerful ideas, inspiration and really beautiful things, you will focus on the blog and see it as AN EXPERIENCE.

I'll be waiting for you...with love.

On the other side.

Why do you make it so fancy looking?

I think I like your blogs, but this fancy template just hurt my eyes. Sorry can't finish reading.
