In Praise of Confusion
On Sunday I was at Kingway by myself, and got to know a bit more about Cute Girl [CG] and Not Quite So Cute Girl [NQSCG] – my favourite two waitresses. As with many young girls they hunt in pairs with CG forming the bait and NQSCG providing the aggression. I’ve been blowing kisses with the two of them for a while, but on Sunday Sensible Manager [SM] told CG to take my order – a little pushing on his part was needed, but she did come to me. It’s more fun flirting at close quarters – you can see facial expressions and minor body movements more easily, so ordering the food is enjoyable.
Soon after NQSCG joined CG and they stood with SM who was encouraging them. They were back to flirting at a distance, but not too far away. CG walked close by my table and said “You are very handsome”, but it is her only English phrase I believe after I tried to ask other things. NQSCG fed me some sort of sugar wafers. In the end I chased them both around the tables and they ran away in the approved fashion.
So at the suggestion of Miss X I went back last night alone and took two bunches of flowers – five red roses in each. NQSCG saw me arrive with the flowers and asked if they were for her. I, of course, said “No”, but she didn’t believe me and kept looking at them. Eventually I called her over, flirted a bit and handed one bunch over. She squealed. I asked for her name in pinyin and she has promised it. I asked where CG and she said they were both working inside and she was only out for a break. I asked her to send out CG, so she did – more squeals resulted and more promises of names.
So hopefully I have two confused girls here – “Is he trying to get into our pants or not?” It should make the next Friday Dinner more interesting – tentatively planned for 5th October.

I thought that when you moved from Bao'an to Nanshan we would see more of you, but NO - you are always "too busy". What are you doing for National Week?

@Val - they weren't there in your day, but they are so cute and young. Actually they remind me more of Luoluo than you. I've tried to get another French woman along, Daniel Helene, but no luck so far.

@Miss X - yes she saw the book - I only remember discussing "two hundred and fifty" - they agreed with the meaning but could give no reasons for the derivation - can you?
They also saw the dice you gave me the year before. They said they didn't know those and especially they didn't know THAT one.
@Zen - are you really confused about sex?
