With an estimated 700 million Chinese travelling/shopping or generally out wandering the streets for the next few days, this time of year generally sucks if (like me) you hate crowds. I got home on Thursday and did as much shopping as I needed food & water wise, bought some new tools to do some work on my E-Bike (indicators and one of the lights not working) and prepared as best I could for the hibernation period. Spending my time for the next few days doing some housework, bike maintenance, and getting in a few movies from my 'to watch' pile.
Having been trapped in China at the crazy times of year in the past I now make it a point to either not be in China, or stay home if I am. It's nice to relax at home (especially after the last few weeks) I just heard it is not so crowded in SZ - lucky you. But as a migrant city I guess it is a ghost town again like at spring festival?
But I guess the Chinese enjoy it, so happy festival time to all those who enjoy being squished in the crowds.

And I had been to India.
Crowded or not, it is just a feeling.
I don't feel it is crowded as long as I don't need to wait in the line for a meal, so I don't eat at the place that have a long waiting line.
I cook at home or book room in very expensive restaurant.
I go to do shopping or watch movie in a theater before 11am, no many people.
I take metro line 2 as much as I can.
Like Grandpa said: well planned, not only for holiday, but also for everyday.
