On Contentment, Dis-ease, Motivation & Ignorance

X Marks the Spot Where Ignorance Lives

FOR INGRATE & IGNORAMUS, GOOD JUDGMENT IS ROCKET SCIENCE

○ ○ ○Contentment. What a beautiful word. Contentment. What a beautiful world. Contentment.

The ultimate wealth. Contentment. The ultimate worth. Contentment. The organic source

of good health. Contentment. The tolerant and welcoming hearth. Discontent: Gratitude

deficiency. Take those two words alone and there, you have the contributing cause for

many a divorce, broken relationships, personal and jugular conflicts, stress, death and

other dis-eases. I found myself walking the other day with a Chinese woman who'd

been walking her dog, and she just could not wrap her head around the fact that

her company's 50-something year old English teacher lives with his girlfriend &

they don't intend to marry. Asked a few questions including age and whether

she herself was married, she evaded them all, or flatly refused to answer.

And still, she was keen to keep judging a man whose personal story she

didn't know. It was an unpleasant but instructive walk that forced me

me to confront a similar dis-ease I see online all the time. There is

always someone who wasn't standing next to me when I paid my

electricity or internet/phone bill; someone not present when

I lost and buried a loved one; or someone who simply can't

create content unless it's based on emotions and dis-ease

another's original post stirred within. Someone that is

dis-eased enough to inform the world as the narrow

-minded Chinese woman did, just how unsophisti-

ticated or two-dimensional they are by laying

bare ignorant thought patterns, one of which

includes the assumption and dis-ease that

that someone's blog, tweet, profile page

or post & even entire existence, taste

and all, should be fashioned in their

image and likeness. That whereas

contented people not seething

with negativity and dis-ease,

feel grateful for discovery

of a work of art & have

requisite wisdom to

enjoy its value, a

miserable per

-son lacks it.

Dis-ease.

What a

Pity
