I come from the south of China,my Chinese is not as standard as people from the north, but not so bad. Some people judge me as Taiwan woman according to my pronunciation, although I'm not.

For people from south of China,we pronounce “chi”(eat) as “ci”,“shang”(up) as “san",“chang"(long) as “can”,“ting"(stop) as “tin”……

I try not to make these kind of problems nowdays.

And “Jia Bao Yu”,“Zhen Bao Yu”,“Jia Yu Cun”,“Zhen Shi Yin”……made the literature《The story of stone》as a complex mystery.

About the 520,that's definitely not the classical Chinese culture. To aviod this kind of mistake and also to show our respect on
Buddha & Buddhist monk, below pronunciation is unique.
If you look up Chinese dictionary, you will see,the pronunciation “fo”(佛) is for Buddha only,“seng”(僧) is for Buddhist monk only.

Because I speak mandarin and English only,I couldn't speak any Chinese dialect. My pronunciation is quite easy to correct.I see, others have problem with “h” and “f”.It's never a problem for me,I'm not a country woman.

Things which sound identical to me are quite different for you I'm sure.

One of the people I first talked much with pronounced her "h" closer to "f" so I heard xifan instead of xihuan and fouche for houche. Also how the hell do you make "wu er ling" sound like I'm told it does?
